Refund Policy
Last updated 26 July 2026
I want you in because it is right for you, not because you felt trapped. Here is exactly how refunds work, honestly.
The short version
- 7 days free. We take your card when you sign up and charge you nothing for a week. Cancel before it ends and you pay nothing at all.
- £24.99 a month after that, including UK VAT. Cancel any time and you are not charged again.
- Charged by mistake? Tell us and we will fix it. We would rather refund you than have you feel caught out.
- Always: your legal rights as a UK consumer come first, whatever this page says.
The Studio subscription
The Studio starts with a 7-day free trial. We take your card at sign-up but charge you nothing during the trial. If you cancel before it ends, you are not charged at all. We email you before it ends so you have fair warning.
After the trial it is £24.99 a month, including UK VAT, renewing on the same date each month. You can cancel at any time from Account → Manage subscription, which opens our payment provider's secure portal. Cancelling stops the next payment; we do not refund part-months, and you keep access until the end of the month you have paid for.
If you are charged and genuinely did not mean to be — you meant to cancel during the trial, or you were charged twice — email us and we will put it right.
Assistant add-ons
The optional assistant add-ons are billed monthly alongside your subscription and can be cancelled the same way, from Account → Manage subscription. Cancelling stops the next payment. Because the allowance is used up as you go, we do not refund part-months, but if you were charged for a month you did not use at all, email us.
If a payment fails
Cards expire and banks block things. If a payment fails we email you straight away and your account keeps working for 3 days while you sort it out. If it is still unpaid after that, the account locks: you can still sign in and update your card or pay, but the tools are unavailable until the payment goes through.
Locking is not deleting. Your pieces, materials, orders and figures are kept exactly as they were, and paying restores access to all of it. If you would rather have a copy of your data, or want it deleted for good, email us and we will sort it — that is your right, not a favour.
Sometimes a payment does not fail so much as pause: your bank may ask you to approve it in your banking app before it will go through. That is a normal security step in the UK and EU and not a problem with your card. We will email you a link to approve it, and nothing is locked while you do.
Courses and coaching
Courses, memberships and one-to-one coaching are not sold through The Studio. They are sold and delivered on our separate course platform, and the refund terms shown to you at that checkout are the ones that apply to them. If you are unsure which applies to something you bought, email us and we will tell you.
A note on your cooling-off right
Normally, UK law gives you 14 days to cancel a distance purchase. For digital services there is one catch: when you choose to start using the service straight away, you are agreeing to immediate access and accepting that you lose the automatic right to cancel once you begin. The 7-day free trial sits on top of that, so in practice you can try the whole thing and walk away having paid nothing.
How to ask for a refund
Just email megan@megancollinscoaching.com from the address you signed up with, and tell us what happened. We aim to reply within 1 to 2 working days. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method, usually within 5 to 10 days depending on your bank.
Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy takes away your legal rights as a consumer under UK law. If you think something has gone wrong, please talk to us first, that is almost always the fastest way to put it right. You can find the full terms on the terms and conditions page.
