The plain-English version of how this works between us. Nothing sneaky, nothing hidden.
The basics
This site is run by Megan Collins Jewellery Ltd (company number 14990760), trading as Megan Collins Coaching ("we", "us" and "our"). By using this site, creating an account, or buying anything from us, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. You need to be at least 18 to buy from us or hold an account.
Your account
Some things need an account. Keep your password to yourself, and let us know straight away if you think someone else has got into your account. You are responsible for what happens under your login, so please keep your details accurate and up to date.
What you are buying
Our products are digital: online courses, a membership, downloadable guides and coaching. When you buy one, you get a personal licence to use it yourself. It is not to be shared, sold on, or used to run a competing course. Your access is for you.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown at checkout, in pounds and in some other currencies. They include UK VAT where it applies (our VAT number is GB 476 299 340). Payments are handled securely by Stripe. By paying, you confirm you are allowed to use the card or payment method you enter.
The Studio: your free trial and subscription
The Studio is our software subscription for jewellery makers, at £24.99 a month including UK VAT, and it works like this:
- We take your card when you sign up, and charge you nothing for the first 7 days. The Studio has no free tier: you are either in the free trial or a paying member.
- At the end of the 7 days the subscription starts automatically and your card is charged £24.99. After that it renews every month on the same date until you cancel. We email you before the trial ends so the charge is never a surprise.
- You can cancel at any time, including during the trial, from Account → Manage subscription. Cancel before the trial ends and you are not charged anything. Cancel later and you keep access to the end of the month you have already paid for.
- If a payment fails we give you 3 days to fix it. We email you straight away and your account keeps working while you sort the card out. If it is still unpaid after that, the account locks: you can sign in and update your card or pay, but the tools are unavailable until the payment goes through.
- Locking is not deleting. Whether you cancel or a payment fails, your pieces, materials, orders and figures are kept, not erased. Paying restores access to all of it. You can ask us for a copy of your data, or ask us to delete it, at any time.
- The Studio is sold to customers in the UK and internationally. Prices are shown in pounds sterling unless another currency is displayed at checkout.
The assistant allowance included with your subscription is available to paying members. Optional assistant add-ons can be bought on top of your subscription and are billed monthly alongside it, and can be cancelled the same way.
Because The Studio is a digital service you start using immediately, you agree that we can begin providing it during the 14-day cancellation period. You still have the cancellation rights described in the refund policy.
Selling your own pieces through The Studio
The Studio can give you a public link for a piece so a customer can reserve it. To be clear about what that is: it takes the order, not the payment. We are not a party to the sale, we do not process your customer's money, and we do not hold funds for you. You agree the price with your customer and collect it yourself. Your sale is between you and your customer, including delivery, returns and any tax you owe on it.
Using the content, and the community
Everything inside the courses is for your own use. Please do not copy it, record it, share your login, or repost the material anywhere else. In the community, the rule is simple: be kind, be helpful, and keep it on topic. No spam, no self-promotion that has not been invited, nothing hateful. We can remove posts or accounts that break this.
Who owns what
All the content, from the videos and worksheets to the words and branding, belongs to us or to Megan Collins. Buying a course gives you a licence to use it, not ownership of it. Anything you post yourself stays yours, but you give us permission to show it where it needs to appear (for example, your comment inside a community thread).
Refunds
Our refund terms are set out in full on the refund policy page. In short: there is a 14-day money-back window on courses you have not started beyond the free Start Here module, and the membership can be cancelled any time.
A note on results
Everything here is education. I share exactly what worked for me and for my clients, but I cannot promise you specific sales, followers or income. What you get out depends on your work, your product, your market and plenty of things outside anyone's control. Please treat it as teaching, not a guarantee.
Availability and changes
We work hard to keep the site up and the content available, but we cannot promise it will never go down or change. We may add to, update or retire parts of a course over time, usually to make it better.
Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits anything that cannot legally be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses that are not a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms, or for business losses. None of this affects your rights as a consumer under UK law.
Ending access
You can close your account whenever you like. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, for example by sharing paid content.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts will handle any dispute. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you keep the protection of the consumer law where you live.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page is always the one that applies, and we will update the date at the top when it changes.
